"Malaysian Youth Leaders' Friendly Silk Road Journey" launched

More than 20 young leaders from all walks of life in Malaysia set off from Kuala Lumpur on the 5th and will visit Yinchuan, Xi'an and other places in China in the next week to start the "Malaysian Youth Leaders Friendly Silk Road Tour".


    The event was hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, the Malaysia-China Friendship Association (referred to as the Malaysia-China Friendship Association), and the Malaysian Youth Council. Members are from various ethnic groups in Malaysia, mostly Malaysian youth group leaders, entrepreneurs and opinion leaders.


    Huang Zhenlong, chairman of the organizing committee of the event, introduced that the theme of this event is "Silk Road". The selected places such as Yinchuan and Xi'an are important nodes of the "Silk Road Economic Belt". Young Malaysian leaders will also participate in the event. The "Fourth Silk Road International Expo" opened in Xi'an on May 11.


    This event coincides with the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Huang Zhenlong said that Malaysian youths will also interact with local Chinese Muslim youths and experience Chinese Muslim culture.


    The Political Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, Yu Jun, who attended the launching ceremony of the event, introduced that since last year, the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia and the Malaysia-China Friendship Association have established the "China-Malaysia-Malaysia-China Friendship Youth Exchange Fund" and organized various forms of Youth exchange activities between the two countries; in the future, the embassy will actively promote more Sino-Malaysian youth exchange programs to enhance the understanding and exchanges between the youth of the two countries.


    He also encouraged young Malaysian leaders to learn more about how the "Belt and Road" initiative has enabled the ancient "Silk Road" to regain its glory today.


    Majid, President of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association, also told reporters that this year coincides with the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China. He hopes that through this event, Malaysian youths can get to know China up close, communicate with their Chinese peers, enhance mutual friendship, and contribute to the friendship between the two countries. power.
