Malaysia is considering reintroducing strict border controls
In a statement released on Jan 3, Malaysian Health Minister Zaliha Mustafa said his ministry is carefully considering and evaluating the concerns of its citizens and the restrictions imposed by some countries on travelers from China after Beijing announced the lifting of various strict measures against the epidemic. Accordingly, the Malaysian Health Ministry will also strengthen measures to prevent the spread of the disease in the country and be ready to respond promptly and effectively should the number of confirmed cases increase.
