The Malaysian state of Malacca held a series of dragon boat races to celebrate Dragon Boat Festival
Under the guidance of the Malacca State Government, the event was co-organised by the Malacca Dragon Boat Promotion Association and the Zheng He Doong Yunxuan (Malacca) Art Museum, including Zongzi wrapping contest, dragon boat race, tea tasting activity, folk culture exchange and discussion.
The Chief minister of Malacca State Government Abdul Rato attended the opening ceremony of the event on the 8th and awarded flags to the participating teams. Abdul Rato said that Malacca has a diverse culture and festivals, and the state government also attaches importance to traditional festival activities, hoping to pass on cultural heritage to the next generation through activities such as dragon boat races.
