ASEAN Headline News: According to the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, on September 2nd, a high-level business dialogue between China and Malaysia was held in Beijing, China. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar attended the meeting. The President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Ren Hongbin, and the Chairman of the Malaysia-China Business Council, Lu Chengquan, among others, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Malaysian Ministers of Transport, Foreign Affairs, Interior, Trade and Industry, and the Ambassador to China also attended the event.
Anwar stated that the essence of the cooperation between Malaysia and China is mutual benefit and win-win results, and the strategic plans of the two countries are highly compatible. The Malaysian side is willing to comprehensively deepen cooperation with China and jointly address the threats of unilateralism and protectionism, maintaining the stability of the global industrial chain, supply chain and value chain. Anwar answered questions raised by Chinese enterprise representatives on the spot and welcomed Chinese enterprises to invest and do business in Malaysia and carry out mutually beneficial cooperation.
Representatives from enterprises of both China and Malaysia engaged in in-depth exchanges and negotiations on major project cooperation and industrial chain alignment.
