Malaysian durian "oxygen-limited preservation" arrives in Haikou, China
ASEAN Headline News: According to the information released by Haikou, on the morning of January 20th, the fresh fruit durian imported by sea using modified atmosphere preservation technology was officially unpacked at the Xichenghui Logistics Center in Xiu'ing District, Haikou City.
These fresh durian fruits will be available for sale in chain supermarkets in Haikou, Chengdu in Sichuan Province, Chongqing and other places in the near future.
The first container of fresh durian fruits consisted of 1,000 boxes with a total weight of approximately 10 tons. On January 1st, they were harvested in the orchard in Malaysia and underwent strict cleaning treatment. On January 3rd, they were placed in the modified atmosphere preservation cabinets. On January 4th, they were shipped to China and arrived at the Yangpu Port in Hainan on January 19th. Thanks to the improved customs clearance efficiency in the Hainan Free Trade Port, the goods were inspected and approved on the same day of arrival and then picked up and left the port.
