Myanmar expects Import Expo to expand trade cooperation

The Myanmar government will send a delegation to participate in the first China International Import Expo. Myanmar officials and exhibitors expressed that they hope to use the exhibition to promote Myanmar tourism, agricultural products, jade and food, and expand trade cooperation between the two countries.


In an interview with Xinhua News Agency, Deputy Minister of Commerce of Myanmar Onto will lead a delegation to participate in the expo. The Myanmar exhibition hall will be 100 square meters. Showcasing Myanmar's tourism and agricultural products.


   Delun U said that the trade volume between Myanmar and China currently accounts for 60% of Myanmar’s foreign trade volume. Myanmar hopes to expand exports through the Expo, and through trade, investment and people-to-people exchanges, the relations between the two countries will be further consolidated. In addition, this year the China-Myanmar Border Fair will be held in Muse, Myanmar.


   In an interview, the person in charge of the Myanmar exhibiting company Jinyong Food Co., Ltd. said that the Chinese market is the company's most important export market, and he hopes to introduce high-quality healthy snack foods to Chinese consumers.
