19 Myanmar Red Cross students "charged" in Kunming
On November 25, the Yunnan Provincial Red Cross Society held a Red Cross community resilience building and "fraternity home" project training meeting in Kunming. A total of 19 personnel and volunteers from the Myanmar National Red Cross Society and its local branches participated in the training.
This training lasts for 10 days, and the training content includes community resilience building, fraternity homes, elderly care services, voluntary services, public health emergency rescue, etc. During the period, the trainees will also visit Kunming, Qujing and other places to inspect the Boai Home Project, the Red Cross "Love the Elderly and Help the Elderly" Bright Action Project, and Red Cross volunteer services.
The purpose of this training is to continue to communicate and deepen understanding with the Myanmar National Red Cross through the international cooperation project of Red Cross Community Development and "Family Homeland", and to explore in-depth professional and innovative models for the development of Red Cross communities in the two places.
In recent years, the Yunnan Provincial Red Cross has actively carried out non-governmental exchanges with Myanmar. Through the “invite in and go out” approach, it has shared with the Myanmar National Red Cross on natural disaster emergency rescue, post-disaster reconstruction, disease prevention and control, and fraternity home construction. , Health and first aid, AIDS prevention and control intervention, community development, volunteer service, etc., and actively leverage the unique advantages and role of the Red Cross as an international organization, promote the development of the Red Cross cause in our province, and serve the country’s “One Belt One Road” Construction.
