Chinese companies sign Myanmar's 3.4 billion yuan infrastructure project

    According to reports, the project has a construction period of 90 months. The contract amount is approximately RMB 3.355 billion.


    According to media reports, the Ministry of Construction of the Union of Myanmar and the Mandalay Provincial Government built a new industrial city in Mandalay in accordance with the concept of green, clean and smart cities, and the Myanmar Central Ayeyarwady Development Co., Ltd. is responsible for the overall development. Mandalay New Industry City is Myanmar's first international-level large-scale green smart industry new city, covering an area of about 4046 hectares. The project is based on economic development zones and smart cities, and develops manufacturing, agriculture, IT, science and technology research and development, health care, education, and tourism through the construction of industrial parks, business parks, agricultural development zones, tourist resorts, housing and related infrastructure. Industries such as leisure create investment opportunities for local and foreign investors.


    The project is located on the planned China-Myanmar railway corridor. Myanmar National Highway No. 3 and Mandalay-Lashio Railway also pass through the project site. Mandalay, where the project is located, is the geographic center of Myanmar, a hub of railway, road, and water transportation, and the intersection of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor.
