The Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar met with the Myanmar Foreign Minister
On July 25, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Chen Hai met with Myanmar Foreign Minister Than Sui in Nay Pyi Taw. The two sides exchanged views on China-Myanmar relations and cooperation in relevant fields.
Ambassador Chen Hai and Foreign Minister Dan Sui held thematic coordination on China-Myanmar joint efforts to crack down on criminal activities such as electricity fraud and online gambling in Myanmar. Ambassador Chen pointed out that in response to the spread of criminal electrical fraud activities in the border areas of Myanmar, China and Myanmar as well as China, Myanmar and Thailand have carried out joint operations and achieved initial results. The two sides should take further effective measures and work with other relevant neighboring countries to carry out a new phase of joint crackdown, spare no effort to eradicate electrical fraud dens, rescue trapped Chinese nationals, eradicate the cancer of gambling in Myanmar, bring criminal forces and their organizational personnel to justice, and uphold the overall interests of China-Myanmar friendship and cooperation.
