On June 30, Ambassador Xiao Qian published a signed article "A Hundred Years of New Starting Point, Cooperation and Departure" in Indonesia's "Indonesian Media" to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The main contents are as follows:

On July 1, 2021, the Communist Party of China will celebrate its 100th anniversary. In the past 100 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, China has gone through an extraordinary course of struggle.

The Chinese Communist Party always takes national rejuvenation as its mission. After the Opium War in 1840, China was reduced to a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society. The Communist Party of China was established in 1921. After 28 years of unremitting struggle, in 1949, it led the Chinese people to get rid of the "three mountains" of imperialism, feudalism, and bureaucratic capitalism, and establish an independent new China. In 1978, China implemented reform and opening up, proposed to follow the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and established and developed a socialist market economic system. Since 2012, under the leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, and various industries have achieved leapfrog development. In 2021, a well-off society will be built in an all-round way. China’s GDP has jumped from 67.91 billion yuan in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China to 101.59 trillion yuan in 2020, an actual increase of nearly 200 times, and the per capita GDP has risen from less than US$30 to more than US$10,000.

The Chinese Communist Party always takes the happiness of the people as its original intention. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, China has created the "two miracles" of rapid economic development and long-term social stability. The world’s largest social security system has been built, basic medical insurance covers more than 1.3 billion people, and basic old-age insurance covers nearly 1 billion people. The Chinese people’s sense of happiness and security has continued to increase. In 2020, while rapidly controlling the new crown pneumonia epidemic, China has achieved positive economic growth and won the battle against poverty. Under current standards, nearly 800 million people have been lifted out of absolute poverty, and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development has been completed 10 years ahead of schedule. Poverty reduction goal.

The Communist Party of China has always been fighting for the cause of human progress. China holds high the banner of peace, development, cooperation and win-win, abides by the foreign policy purpose of maintaining world peace and promoting common development, and unswervingly develops friendly cooperation with other countries on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, and promotes the establishment of mutual respect and fairness. A new type of international relations featuring justice and win-win cooperation. China firmly pursues an independent foreign policy of peace, respects the right of people of all countries to independently choose a development path, does not export ideology, and maintains international fairness and justice. China upholds the global governance concept of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, advocates the democratization of international relations, and insists that all countries are equal in size, strong and weak, and rich and poor. China calls for building a community with a shared future for mankind, and building a world of lasting peace, universal security, common prosperity, openness, tolerance, cleanliness and beauty.

China and Indonesia are good neighbors, good friends, and good partners. Since last year, the two countries have overcome the adverse effects of the new crown epidemic, and bilateral relations have risen against the trend. President Xi Jinping had 4 phone calls with President Joko, and reached important consensus on the development of bilateral relations. Not long ago, the first meeting of the China-Indonesia high-level dialogue and cooperation mechanism was successfully held. The two sides have advanced their cooperation from the "troika" of politics, economy, and humanities to a "four-wheel drive" of political, economic, cultural, and maritime cooperation. The development of bilateral relations creates new opportunities.

China continues to maintain its position as Indonesia's largest trading partner and the second largest source of investment. In 2020, bilateral trade reached 78.37 billion U.S. dollars and remained basically stable. China's direct investment in Indonesia reached US$2 billion, a year-on-year increase of approximately 86.5%. The iconic projects of strategic docking between the two countries, the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway and the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Corridor" have been steadily advanced. The "Bilateral Parks" have been implemented, and cooperation in e-commerce, digital economy, electric vehicles, and new energy is booming. After the crash of the Indonesian navy "Nangala-402" submarine, China immediately dispatched a fleet of ships to the sea area where the incident occurred to support the Indonesian rescue operation.

Anti-epidemic cooperation, especially vaccine cooperation, is the highlight of bilateral relations. The two countries actively carry out cooperation in vaccine trials, research and development, procurement, and production. Despite the tight domestic vaccine supply, China still fulfills its commitments and has exported nearly 100 million doses of finished vaccines and original solutions to Indonesia, helping Indonesia's universal vaccination work and supporting Indonesia to build a regional vaccine production center. The new crown pneumonia epidemic has become the "touchstone" and "catalyst" of the brotherhood between China and Indonesia, which fully embodies the sincere friendship between the two countries to "emphasize the same challenge and despise the same".

At present, the Communist Party of China is leading China to advance the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the 2035 long-term goal, heading towards the second centenary goal of building a modern socialist country in the middle of this century. Indonesia is also committed to realizing the "ambition of 2045." China is willing to continue to strengthen friendly cooperation with Indonesia, respond to the challenges of the times, build a China-Indonesia community with a shared future, and create a better future for bilateral relations.
