The construction of box girders on the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway has been completed
At around 4:00 p.m. on October 16, the final truss of the 900-ton simply-supported beam of the YAWn-Bandung high-speed railway fell steadily on pier 8 to pier 9 of Bridge 24. This marked the successful completion of the box girder erection task of the entire route of the YAWn-Bandung high-speed railway, and the opening of the track-laying channel, laying a solid foundation for the completion and opening of the railway in June 2023.
After the completion of the project, the travel time between Jakarta and Bandung will be shortened from more than three hours to 40 minutes. This will be of great significance to boosting Indonesia's economic and social development, deepening cooperation between China and Indonesia and promoting high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
