Indonesia raises its target for exports to China by 2024
Didi Sumedi, director general of the National Export Development Agency of Indonesia's Ministry of Trade, said recently that Indonesia's exports to China amounted to $56.57 billion in November 2023. The country's exports to China are expected to reach about $60 billion in 2023, down from $65.9 billion in 2022.
In 2024, if exports grow by 2.5%, Indonesia's exports to China could reach the target of $65 billion to $70 billion.
Didi Sumedi stressed: "We are optimistic that exports remain one of our strengths and remain well competitive globally. There is every reason to expect better export prospects in 2024."
Didi Sumedi also said that the Trade Ministry has made several plans to promote exports to China by 2024, including trade promotion activities such as holding Indonesian goods exhibitions in some places in China.
