New model of Chinese international education attracts Filipinos
Confucius Institute at Ateneo University of the Philippines AR and VR "Charming Chinese Global Tour-Philippines" event and digital international Chinese education seminar kicked off at the Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Manila on the 10th to explore "Internet + Chinese + Chinese culture" Chinese The new model of international education and the fashionable and novel activities have attracted people from all walks of life in the Philippines and China.
The AR, VR and other activity experience stations set up on the scene truly reproduce the representative elements of the Chinese New Year such as the Nian Beast and the God of Wealth, as well as the characteristic culture of Bashu such as the "face of Sichuan Opera". Interesting interactive games such as 3DAR posters and painted cards help Filipinos to intuitively experience Chinese New Year’s customs such as Chinese New Year’s Eve dinner, lion dance, and setting off firecrackers. The accompanying English explanations describe the Chinese cultural connotation of these elements and customs. The movable type printing of Bashu poetry and the "Easy Chinese" APP Chinese character writing competition held on-site allowed people to experience the charm of ancient Chinese printing in entertainment and stimulate their interest in learning Chinese.
At the seminar, Dr. Liang Guanghan, the Chinese Dean of the Ateneo Confucius Institute, said that the century-old Chinese education in the Philippines is inseparable from the support and contributions of all sectors of society in China and the Philippines. This event emphasized the important role of language to communicate with the soul, allowing more people to experience the unique charm of the combination of technology and culture.
Philippine Chinese Entrepreneur Federation Vice Chairman Shi Ziyun said that Chinese culture is a treasure of world culture. Inheriting and promoting Chinese culture, and developing Chinese education in the Philippines are great projects for Chinese society. Huang Duanming, Director of the Chinese Education Center of the Philippines, delivered a speech, applauding the efforts made by the Ateneo Confucius Institute to provide Chinese courses and train Chinese teachers to the mainstream society in the Philippines, and to promote Chinese language and Chinese culture. He said that this event is a brand-new attempt of "Internet + Filipino Chinese Education". The new digital technology will bring a new experience to young people in the Philippines. I believe that the event will be held in Chinese schools and Chinese communities and will have a very big impact. Li Shuhui, executive director of the Federation of Alumni Associations in the Philippines, said that happy, relaxed, and efficient Chinese learning has become a major trend, and such activities are conducive to enhancing the fun of Chinese learning.
