Philippine President Marcos visited Japan
Philippine President Marcos left for Japan on February 8 for a five-day visit.
During the visit, Marcos will meet with the Emperor and Empress of Japan and hold talks with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
In a pre-trip speech, Mr. Marcos said he would "assess with Mr. Kishida the bilateral security and economic relationship and their commitment to peace and prosperity, as well as their broad engagement on regional issues."
Along with his Japanese counterpart, Marcos will witness the signing of bilateral agreements on humanitarian aid, disaster relief infrastructure, agriculture and digital cooperation.
