The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $200 million loan to the Philippines
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $200 million loan to the Philippines to help the country build low-carbon, climate sustainable, comprehensive and high-quality public infrastructure.
The loan will finance "complex and climate-resilient" projects related to road, bridge, transport and flood risk management, ADB said. These projects have been identified as priority projects by the Philippine Government.
Official figures show that ADB's support for infrastructure development in the Philippines has steadily increased since 2018 and now accounts for nearly 60 percent of ADB's total investment in the country.
