According to Philippine media reports, on February 22 local time, the Philippine Immigration Department said that on the same day, 43 Chinese citizens engaged in offshore gambling in the Philippines were repatriated. The 43 Chinese nationals were deported at Terminal 1 of Manila International Airport.

The arrested Chinese national was found to have violated the terms and conditions of his visa and was deemed a threat to the public interest, and was therefore recommended for deportation and put on an immigration blacklist to prevent re-entry into the Philippines, authorities said.
