2018 Singapore Yunnan Matsutake Truffle Festival Promotion Conference was successfully held in Singa

Recently, the "2018 Singapore Yunnan Matsutake Truffle Festival Promotion Conference" hosted by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Commerce was successfully held in Singapore. With the theme of "Green Food, Healthy Food, Healthy Food" represented by wild mushrooms, the promotion conference showed the unique charm of Yunnan to local businesses and consumers in Singapore


At the promotion meeting, more than 100 people from the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, Singapore Enterprise Development Board, major chambers of commerce, food importers and well-known restaurant leaders attended the venue. Through guest speeches, health experts' lectures, well-known chefs' dishes and product introductions of three exhibiting companies, people from all walks of life were able to experience the deliciousness of Yunnan matsutake truffles and the richness and variety of Yunnan green foods.


   Wu Lixian, representative of the Yunnan Commercial Representative Office in Singapore, said that Yunnan is rich in natural resources and is known as the kingdom of plants, animals, and non-ferrous metals. Yunnan's excellent natural resources have formed unique conditions for the development of plateau agriculture, creating high-quality Yuncai, Yunguo, Yunyao, Yuncha and other characteristic agricultural products. Wu Lixian said that Yunnan has become the region with the most abundant wild mushroom species in China and even the world. The output of wild mushrooms accounts for 80% of China's annual wild mushroom output and 40% of the world's wild mushroom output. Wu Lixian hopes to bring Yunnan mushroom products to Singapore and impress Singaporean consumers with the characteristics and quality of Yunnan products.


The managing director of Ming Wah (Singapore) Agency Co., Ltd., which is responsible for selling Yunnan specialty products in Singapore, said that Yunnan is one of the provinces with geographical advantages in the construction of the “Belt and Road”. Agricultural products have a certain reputation in the global market. However, due to transportation and other factors, Yunnan's high-quality wild mushroom products have not been familiar to the Singapore market. However, with the continuous improvement of infrastructure, the market development space of Yunnan's high-quality agricultural products in Southeast Asia is very broad.


  In the last part of the promotion conference, many local buyers actively communicated with the exhibitors and consulted on the exhibited products in detail. Some buyers showed a strong interest and intention to import and purchase exhibits. The atmosphere of this promotion was relaxed, the links were compact, and the promotion effect was obvious.
