According to foreign media reports, US President Trump tweeted on social media on the 24th local time that he would travel to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, on the morning of the 25th to hold a second meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The two will meet in Hanoi from February 27th to 28th. North Korean media previously confirmed that Kim Jong-un left Pyongyang by train for Vietnam on the 23rd.

Trump also said in a tweet: "We all expect that in Vietnam, the progress made at the first summit in Singapore will continue." It is reported that the first North Korea-US summit was held in Singapore in June 2018. After the meeting between the two parties, a joint statement was issued, the main points of which were the United States to provide security guarantees and Pyongyang's commitment to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Foreign media reported that a delegation of security personnel from North Korea and the United States has arrived in Vietnam to ensure the safety of the leaders of the two countries during the summit.

In the past week, the United States sent several Boeing C-17 Globemaster III aircraft to Hanoi, carrying equipment needed for the summit, including a helicopter and two cars that President Trump will use in Vietnam.

According to a report from the Russian Satellite Network, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharov has previously stated that Moscow hopes the new summit will be a success and expressed the hope that the United States’ commitments can be realized. Russia will assist the United States and North Korea in reaching a mutual understanding.
