Singapore's "Sky Car" plans to be put into use in the United States next year
Singapore Xinxiang Aerospace Co., Ltd. recently announced that the "Sky Car" developed by the company has completed indoor testing and will be put into operation in the United States in the second half of next year after completing outdoor tests in Singapore and the United States from the second half of this year to the first half of next year. . By then, it is expected that people will go to school and work by "air car".
The so-called "air vehicle" refers to a personal aircraft that can be controlled by itself and fly at a low altitude in a prescribed area. Xinxiang Aerospace has completed the first round of indoor environmental testing in Singapore, which was developed by Xinxiang Aerospace over 9 months. It is expected that an improved version will be developed by the end of December this year, and outdoor testing will be carried out in the United States in March next year.
Liang Guomin, the founder and president of Xinxiang Aerospace, told the media recently that the company's research and development "air car" is mainly designed for low-altitude flight commuting. It can only fly at an altitude of 15 meters above the ground, with a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour and a maximum load of 100 kg. weight. At present, the test model can only fly for 20 minutes, and the flight time of the improved new model will be extended to one hour.
Liang Guomin said that the "Air Car" meets the Federal Aviation Administration's standards for ultra-light vehicles and can operate without a pilot license. As long as the user is 16 years of age or older, he can drive after two hours of training and testing. "Aircar" flies directly to the destination. "Air Car" has two modes of user control and automatic driving, which can be switched by users according to their preferences.
According to Singapore’s current regulations, “Air Cars” cannot be used in the country. Liang Guomin said that after the relevant laws and regulations are relaxed in the future, fixed route services will be considered in Singapore, such as to and from the airport and urban areas, or to provide heavy goods delivery services to and from land and ships.
