An all-boys school in Singapore is to become a mixed-sex school
Starfish High School in Singapore, which has been running schools for more than 60 years, will change its tradition of only admitting male students, and from 2027, Starfish High School will welcome female students for the first time.
In order to provide students with a better educational experience, the primary school of Starfish High School will be rebuilt on the original site, said Szeto Yubin, a member of parliament for the Brazilese single constituency in Potung. "Moving to a co-ed model will bring diversity and inclusion to the school's students, and more importantly, it will provide more options for families in the immediate area," he said.
