Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Cao Zhongming meets with Singapore's Minister of Transport Xu Fangda

Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Cao Zhongming met with Singapore's Minister of Transport and Second Minister of Finance Xu Fangda on September 18 to exchange views on transport cooperation between the two countries, according to the Chinese Embassy in Singapore.

Cao said that China-New Zealand cooperation in transport and connectivity has yielded fruitful results, with many progress made in digital and green shipping, low-carbon and clean fuels and maritime navigation safety. China is ready to work with New Zealand to consolidate existing cooperation, explore new areas and enhance the connectivity of our transport infrastructure under the guidance of our comprehensive and high-quality forward-looking partnership, so as to lay a more solid foundation for economic and trade exchanges between our two countries.

Xu Fangda said that New Zealand attaches great importance to transportation cooperation with China and hopes to continuously upgrade bilateral cooperation in air transport, shipping and land transportation and promote the establishment of more institutionalized cooperation platforms. New Zealand is optimistic about the medium - and long-term prospects of China's economic development and is willing to continue to deepen economic, trade and cultural cooperation with China.
