Senior ASEAN leaders Hun Sen and Lee Hsien Loong visited China one after another
During a six-day trip that began on Nov. 24, Lee Hsien Loong, the former prime minister of Singapore, made his first visit to China since leaving office. He visited China in the capacity of State Counsellor and received a high-level reception from the Chinese side and met with Chinese top leaders at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.
Political and economic observers believe that Lee Hsien Loong's visit to China has two important backgrounds: one is the smooth transition of Singapore's leadership; Second, the international situation is full of uncertainties, especially the return of former US President Donald Trump to the White House next year, which will have a profound impact on the relations between Singapore, China and Southeast Asia.
