Joint maritime exercise enhances the joint maritime operation capabilities of the two militaries

From May 9th to 16th, the "China-Singapore Cooperation -2025" joint maritime exercise was held at the Changi Naval Base in Singapore and in the sea and airspace near the east of Singapore.

On the afternoon of May 15th, Major General Jiang Bin, Deputy director of the Information Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense of China and spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense, released information on recent military-related issues.

A reporter asked that it was reported that China and Singapore recently held the "China-Singapore Cooperation -2025" joint maritime exercise and asked the spokesperson to further introduce the relevant situation.

In response to this, Jiang Bin said that from May 9th to 16th, the "China-Singapore Cooperation -2025" joint maritime exercise was held at the Changi Naval Base in Singapore and in the sea and airspace east of Singapore. The Chinese Navy's missile frigates Xuchang and minesweeper Chishui, as well as Singapore's frigates "Xin Jian" and minesweepers "Wu Luo" participated in the exercise. Both sides jointly commanded and planned, conducting live drills on subjects such as naval and artillery strikes against the sea, maritime supplies, and joint search and rescue, effectively testing the tactical command coordination and joint operation capabilities of the participating troops. During this period, the participating officers and soldiers also carried out business discussions, vessel visits, cultural exchanges and other activities.

Jiang Bin pointed out that this is the fourth time that the militaries of China and Singapore have held this series of exercises, which is of great significance for further deepening practical cooperation and enhancing the capacity for joint maritime operations.
