Singapore and Brunei jointly celebrate the 50th anniversary of their defense relationship

ASEAN Headline News: On January 12th, the Chief of the Singapore Armed Forces, Meng Yaicheng, held a commemorative dinner in Brunei, inviting current and former defense leaders of Brunei to attend and jointly celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of defense relations between the two countries.

To commemorate this significant milestone, the Singapore-Bangladesh 50th Anniversary commemorative badge was officially released at the dinner. This badge symbolizes the close ties based on mutual recognition, trust and loyalty. The personnel of the Singapore Armed Forces and the Royal Armed Forces of Brunei will wear it throughout the year in various bilateral activities.

It is reported that the two armed forces maintain regular interactions through other bilateral exercises, including the "Pelao Exercise" and the "Air Force Guard Exercise", and further consolidate their long-term and stable defense relationship through various forms such as professional exchanges, mutual training and high-level visits.
