Thailand opens a self-service customs clearance channel for Hong Kong, China passengers
"The National Police Headquarters of Thailand held the launching ceremony of the self-service customs clearance for passengers in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport on September 15.

It is understood that after opening the self-service customs clearance, an average passenger can complete the customs clearance every 20 seconds, while the general passage takes at least 45 seconds and does not count the queue time.

Prior to this, Thailand has opened up self-service customs clearance for Thai citizens and travelers holding Singapore passports. The Immigration Department of Thailand stated that it will provide this convenience to travelers from more countries and regions.
It is understood that in 2017, more than 700,000 Chinese and Hong Kong tourists visited Thailand, and it is expected that it will reach 1 million in 2018.
