Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has met with Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tun
Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi has met with Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tun Tun on the sidelines of a series of foreign ministers' meetings on East Asia Cooperation in Phnom Penh.
Wang said that last month, China and Thailand agreed to work toward the vision and goal of building a community of shared destiny, which has provided positive expectations for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries and injected strong impetus into bilateral ties. China appreciates Thailand's active participation in the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative and will continue to support Thailand in hosting this year's APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.
He thanked China for always responding to Thailand's needs at the earliest time. Thailand is ready to work with China to push for new and greater development of Thailand-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. The Thai side is very concerned about the current situation in Myanmar and hopes that China will continue to provide support and help for the settlement of the Myanmar issue.
