Thailand's Prime minister has ordered an acceleration of aid to victims

Heavy rains hit Thailand again last weekend, worsening flooding in many areas, foreign media reported. Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha has announced a 23 billion baht (434 million yuan) aid package to help victims of recent floods.

Prayuth announced that the government would allocate 23 billion baht from the budget for fiscal year 2023 to roll out the flood assistance and reconstruction program. But he says this is only a preliminary estimate and the government will not be able to determine the total cost of the flood assistance and reconstruction program until the flood damage reports are submitted.
