Thailand issues new quarantine guidelines for foreign tourists
Thai medical experts believe the current COVID-19 testing requirement for inbound Chinese tourists is unnecessary, but tourists from China will still have to show proof of vaccination.
The proposal was made at a meeting of the Center for Disease Control (DDC) of Thailand's National Commission for Infectious Diseases on December 31. The meeting aims to assess the COVID-19 epidemic in China and the number of visitors from a country with a population of billions against the backdrop of the easing of travel restrictions on January 8, 2023.
