Thai Prime Minister called on Japanese car manufacturers to transition to EV as soon as possible
The Thai Prime Minister, who is about to visit Japan, gave an interview to Kyodo News and other Japanese media in the capital Bangkok on the 12th. Given that Chinese automakers are gaining market share in Thailand with pure electric vehicles (EVs), Seta is concerned that Japanese automakers will be "left behind" if they do not accelerate the transition to EVs.
Seta revealed that it is negotiating tax preferential measures for Japanese companies producing EVs in Thailand, and believes that through the visit to Japan, "we can reach a positive conclusion."
