The Chinese Academy of Sciences Scientific and Technological Innovation Achievements Tour Exhibition

The reporter learned from the Chinese Embassy in Thailand on the 5th that the scientific and technological innovation achievements of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from October 9th to 14th.


As the first overseas tour of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, this exhibition will feature nearly 30 world-leading scientific and technological innovations and hundreds of scientific and technological achievements of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, covering "deep space", "deep sea", "deep land", "deep blue", "life science", etc. 11 areas. There will also be 19 Chinese technology companies and 14 Thai scientific research institutions that will connect with Thailand's top ten target industries at the same time.


Yang Xin, Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, said that the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Science and Technology Innovation Achievements Tour·Bangkok Station is on the occasion of the 2018 China-ASEAN Innovation Year and the 40th anniversary of the signing of the intergovernmental science and technology cooperation agreement between China and Thailand. The large-scale event jointly organized by the country's top scientific research institutions is an important measure to implement the leaders of the two countries to strengthen the docking of development strategies and increase cooperation in the field of scientific and technological innovation.


  According to the introduction, the exhibition has four highlights:


The first is the frontier scientific and technological achievements made by the Chinese Academy of Sciences in recent years, including the world’s largest single-aperture radio telescope "Sky Eye", the satellite "Wukong" developed for the detection of dark matter particles at a cost of hundreds of millions of dollars, and a quantum science experiment satellite with an accuracy of more than 10 times that of ordinary satellites. Models of scientific and technological achievements such as "Mozi".


   The second is the practical technologies, products and services brought by Chinese technology companies to connect with Thailand's ten target industries, including service robots, new energy vehicles, new batteries and other technology products that are widely concerned by all walks of life in Thailand.


   The third is the history of Sino-Thailand technological cooperation. The main exhibits are the precious historical photos and archives that Princess Sirindhorn of Thailand cared about and supported the technological exchanges between China and Thailand.


  Four is the most representative science and technology in Thailand. At that time, the exhibits brought by 14 Thai scientific research institutions will show the level of Thai scientific research in a multi-dimensional and multi-field three-dimensional display from macro to micro, from astronomy to agriculture.


   This exhibition is jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Thai Ministry of Science and Technology.
