The Can Tho project is an important result of the cooperation between China and Vietnam. It is the first overseas environmental protection project of the entire industrial chain of Everbright Group, and it is also the first modern domestic waste power generation project put into operation in Vietnam. After the project is put into operation, it will provide about 60 million kilowatt-hours of green power each year, and process 400 tons of domestic waste per day, accounting for about 60% of the total daily garbage removal in Can Tho City. The flue gas emission will fully comply with the EU 2010 standard, which will effectively solve the problem. The Can Tho project involves a total investment of 47 million US dollars. The core technology and equipment are all independently developed by Everbright International. The project adopts the PPP cooperation model.
