"Rite Music Builds Dreams" Sino-Vietnamese Youth Confucian Cultural Exchange Held in Hanoi

The "Rite and Music Build Dreams" China-Vietnamese youth Confucian cultural exchange event was held in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam on March 24. The youths of the two countries listen to ancient music and recite classics, and learn from each other. The event is one of this year's Lanmei Week series. It was jointly sponsored by Guangxi Radio and Television Station, Hanoi University, and Guangxi Nanning Normal University, and undertaken by the Confucius Institute at Hanoi University.


    Fan Yi, deputy director of Guangxi Radio and Television Station, expressed the hope that through cultural mutual learning, the young people of the six Lancang-Mekong countries can further understand and respect the cultural diversity of the Lancang-Mekong countries, and enhance their cultural and emotional identity. Deepen the younger generation's understanding and support of the Lancang-Mekong cooperation mechanism, and provide new ideas and new impetus for promoting the cultural development and revitalization of the Lancang-Mekong basin and building a community with a shared future for the Lancang-Mekong countries.


    Vice President of Hanoi University and Chairman of the Council of Confucius Institute at Hanoi University Nguyen Thi Khu Fang said that culture is an important bridge to promote exchanges between countries. It is hoped that the youth of the two countries will make greater contributions to the development of relations between the two countries through cultural exchanges.


    Guqin, calligraphy, singing. Different cultural symbols blend with each other, and artists from China and Vietnam jointly interpret a different kind of "Yangguan Sandi". "Cloud is to rain, snow is to wind, evening sun is to clear sky." The students from the High School Affiliated to the University of Foreign Languages of the National University of Hanoi sang "Sound and Rhythm Enlightenment" in Chinese, with coordinated sounds and rhymes, like the sound of nature. The ancient prose recites "Guanju" and "Encourage Learning", each word is beading, and there is a sound.


    Nanning Normal University students Gao Lei and Zhang Shaqi played Zhongruan, mouth flute and other musical instruments respectively. They told reporters that through the Lanmei Zhou exchanges, we have strengthened our friendship with Vietnamese young people by using the ethnic musical instruments with Guangxi characteristics as the bond. At the same time, he also experienced the Vietnamese official greeting folk songs, national costume Ao Dai and other styles.


    Hongyan Wu, a student of the Chinese Department of Hanoi University, participated in the dance "Good Days" and the Vietnam Odai Show. She told reporters: "Today's exchanges have allowed me to see more Chinese national musical instruments and national arts, and have enriched my understanding of Chinese culture. I am very happy!"


    Tan Xiaohe, the Chinese Dean of the Confucius Institute at Hanoi University, told reporters that the activity of "Building Dreams with Rituals and Music" has attracted the active participation of young people from both countries, which is conducive to enhancing young people's understanding of Confucian culture and promoting the inheritance of Confucian culture.


    The Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, Peng Shituan, expressed the hope that through a variety of exchange activities, China and Vietnam can promote the communication between the two peoples and lay a solid foundation of public opinion for the construction of the "Belt and Road" and Lancang-Mekong cooperation.


    It is understood that the “Building Dreams with Ceremony and Music” Sino-Vietnamese youth Confucian cultural exchange activity is also one of the large-scale youth cultural exchange series of “A Tale of Two Cities” in Lancang-Mekong in 2019. The Lanmei "Tale of Two Cities" will successively hold exchange activities in ten cities in the six Lancang-Mekong basins (China, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam).
