The Chinese Embassy in Vietnam went to Quang Ninh Province to conduct preventive consular protection
From November 8th to 9th, Minister Counselor Hu Suojin and Counselor Cui Dongming of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam led a team of personnel from the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and the Economic and Commercial Office to Quang Ninh Province to conduct preventive consular protection lectures and conduct inspections on the safety production of local Chinese-funded enterprises. More than 50 people including the Quang Ninh Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce and representatives of local Chinese-funded enterprises attended the lecture.
Minister Counselor Hu Suojin introduced the security situation at home and abroad, and emphasized that the Chinese government attaches great importance to the safety of production in enterprises. At present, a large number of Chinese enterprises and employees are going overseas to carry out production and operation activities. The production and operation conditions of overseas enterprises are generally good, but the safety situation facing them is not optimistic. Hu requested that Chinese-funded enterprises in Vietnam must strengthen their risk awareness, adhere to legal and compliant operations, actively integrate into the local society, further prevent and resolve safety risks, and lay a solid foundation for the sustainable development of enterprises overseas.
Counselor Cui Dongming briefly introduced the bilateral relations, saying that as the number of Chinese investment companies and tourists in Vietnam continues to increase, the task of consular protection and services has become increasingly onerous. Moving forward the barriers of consular insurance work and strengthening preventive consular insurance work is the focus of future efforts. Cui said that the embassy will work with all parties to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of overseas enterprises and citizens in Vietnam, and create favorable conditions for the overseas development of enterprises.
In combination with specific cases, the heads of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office gave a lecture on the safety precautions of Chinese citizens and enterprises in Vietnam.
The on-site interaction was positive and the response was enthusiastic. The participants unanimously stated that the lecture was of great significance, rich in content, and vivid cases, which resolved many of their confusions in security risk prevention and benefited a lot.
Minister Counselor Hu Suojin and Counselor Cui Dongming led a team to a number of local Chinese-funded enterprises to conduct safety production inspections, held safety production seminars with the heads of the enterprises, inspected the production situation of the enterprises on the spot, and guided the investigation of safety production risks.
