Vietnam attended the first meeting of the ASEAN Connectivity Coordination Committee in 2022

The meeting also discussed the fourth annual progress report on the MASTER Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025 and preparations for the 13th ASEAN Connectivity Seminar to be held at the end of this year.

Going forward, ASEAN will pool resources and mobilize partners to support and promote projects in strategic areas.

In addition, the meeting also stressed the need to strengthen information dissemination and popularization of MPAC 2025 contents and benefits, and continue to promote the MPAC 2025 publicity strategy in 2022. The meeting agreed to inform and encourage the simultaneous participation of ASEAN professional institutions in the implementation of MPAC 2025 and strengthen the coordination mechanism to link the implementation of MPAC 2025 with regional connectivity initiatives and ASEAN partner countries.

At the 28th ASEAN Summit held in Vientiane, Laos, in September 2016, ASEAN leaders adopted MPAC 2025, with a vision to build a seamless and comprehensive ASEAN. The ACCC was established to monitor, evaluate and report regularly to the ASEAN Coordinating Committee (ACC) and asean Summit on the implementation of MPAC 2025 and the challenges encountered.
