China and Vietnam have launched a joint campaign to crack down on illegal immigration

On July 25, the National Immigration Administration of China and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam jointly launched a special campaign against illegal immigration in Nanning, South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region.

In recent years, China's opening-up has been expanding and deepening, and the personnel, economic and trade exchanges between China and other countries in the world, especially neighboring countries, have become increasingly close. Criminals have taken advantage of the increasing economic and social activities along the border and the dramatic increase in the flow of people and vehicles to blend in and out through China's southwest border, and illegal entry-exit, illegal and criminal activities are facing new situations and problems. The Ministry of Public Security and the National Immigration Administration attach great importance to it, and have successively deployed special campaigns and special operations to crack down on crimes that harm national (border) management, jointly carried out crackdowns with overseas law enforcement departments, captured a number of cross-border "smugglers", destroyed a number of smuggling gangs, and cut off a number of smuggling channels, effectively safeguarding national security and entry and exit administration order.
