Nowadays, fruits such as durians transported from ASEAN can reach the domestic market more quickly through multimodal transport. Vehicles and industrial products produced in China also pass through here to reach ASEAN, promoting the two-way circulation of "products produced in ASEAN - distribution in Guangxi - popular in China".
In the first half of this year, the value of goods imported and exported through the Friendship Pass reached 288.9 billion yuan, and the freight volume was 32.48 million tons, both increasing by 30% and 31.4% respectively compared to the previous year. Among them, the value of goods imported and exported through the Friendship Pass by the provinces and cities along the Western Land-Sea New Channel was 136.41 billion yuan (RMB), increasing by 21.1% compared to the previous year. The role of the Friendship Pass as an important hub port of the Western Land-Sea New Channel has become increasingly prominent.
