Failure of the customs clearance and inspection system at the Vietnamese border crossing point

China News Service, Beihai City, January 18th (Chen Qiuxia) Due to a malfunction in the customs inspection system at the border crossing of Vietnam, the customs clearance process has been slow. On January 17th, relevant departments in Dongxing City and Jingxi City of Guangxi Province issued a notice.

The Commerce Bureau of Jingxi City stated that due to the malfunction of the inspection system at the Vietnamese Tailei Border Crossing, the system has not fully returned to normal yet, resulting in a relatively slow customs clearance rate. To avoid congestion at the border, it is recommended that passengers and border residents reasonably plan their travel according to the actual situation. Once the inspection system at the Vietnamese Tailei Border Crossing returns to normal, further notice will be given.

The Longbang Border Crossing, located in Jingxi City, is one of the convenient land routes connecting China in the southwest region with Vietnam and the ASEAN region. On December 28, 2023, the international border crossing between China's Longbang and Vietnam's Tailei (including the China-Naxi - Vietnam-Namong passage) was officially opened. It has expanded from only allowing the passage of Chinese and Vietnamese personnel, goods, and vehicles to now allowing people, goods, and vehicles from all over the world to pass through.
