Brunei will host the ASEAN Eastern Growth Area Friendship Games

Brunei, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and the Northern Territory of Australia will send teams to participate in the 10th ASEAN Eastern Growth Area Friendship Games.


    This Friendship Games has eight major events, namely water sports, lawn bowls, karate, track and field, Chinese martial arts, Malay martial arts, sepak takraw and taekwondo. A total of 993 athletes, coaches and sports officials participated in the games. Brunei, the host country, will send about 140 people to the competition.


    The ASEAN Eastern Growth Area Friendship Games is held by the four countries in the region every two years. The last Games was held in Indonesia in December 2016.
