Brunei Port of Morah for the first time bulk fertilizer loading operations
The ship "STH LONDON", with a length of 200 meters and a plan to carry 25,000 tons of urea, was recently docked at the Container terminal of The Port of Mora. It is the first batch of cargo to be shipped and exported from the port of Mora after the project of Brunei Fertilizer Industry Co., LTD. (BFI) was put into operation.
BFI is one of the largest single-row urea plants in the world, with an annual output of 1.36 million tons of granular urea. It is expected to ship more than 600,000 tons of bulk fertilizer annually from the Port of Mora.
Mora Port is brunei's only deep-water port and a major hub for international trade. In 2021, Brunei Morah Port Co., LTD. (MPC), a subsidiary of Beibu Gulf Port Group, signed a cooperation agreement with BFI, providing BFI with logistics transportation and port loading and unloading services from factory to shipment, as well as operation management services for BFI's own terminals. The official of Beibu Gulf Port Group said that this business will greatly improve the cargo throughput and operating efficiency of Mora Port, expand mora port's participation in the operation and management of owner's wharf and provide one-stop service from door to ship for Brunei enterprises.
