China brunei joint venture signed a contract with brunei University to jointly run schools
The signing ceremony of conditional recruitment for joint education between Chinese Brunei joint venture Hengyi Industry (Brunei) Co., LTD, Brunei Institute of Technology and Brunei Institute of Technical Education was held in Bandar Seri Begawan. Nearly 300 people attended the ceremony, including Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Yu Hong, Commercial Counsellor Kang Wen, Acting Minister of The Prime Minister's Office and Acting Minister in charge of the Ministry of Finance and Economy Khairudin, permanent Secretary, Deputy Permanent Secretary and senior officials of the Ministry of Education, representatives of Hengyi Industry, teachers and students from the Brunei Institute of Technology and the Brunei Institute of Technical Education.
The Hengyi Petrochemical project is a key project of brunei government's economic diversification strategy as well as a key project of Chinese cooperation. For brunei needed for the development of oil and gas downstream industry vocational and technical education, cultivating talents, petrochemical refining local technical skills with the support of the Chinese authorities, constant escape industry since 2018 in succession and brunei institute and brunei institute of technical education in Chinese universities - constant from industrial - brunei tripartite joint program in colleges and universities. Currently there are 291 students in the school. 207 students from the two schools received conditional offers from Hengyi Industrial during the signing ceremony.
