On October 4, on the occasion of the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Xiao Jianguo invited chairmen and principals of all eight Chinese schools in Brunei, as well as heads of mainstream Chinese and English media and journalists to the Ambassador's residence for friendly exchanges.

Xiao extended his best wishes to all of you on the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, thanked you for your efforts to inherit and promote Chinese culture, and gave strong support and assistance to the work of the Embassy. He said that the Embassy will, as always, care and support the development of the Chinese University, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the media, and make new contributions to promoting the inheritance of Chinese culture and enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.

Officials from the Chinese schools and media thanked the Chinese Embassy for its long-term concern and support, and said that they would follow the foreign policy of the Brunei government, actively promote the friendship and mutual trust between Brunei and Brunei, and further deepen bilateral friendly cooperation.
