Cambodian police detect a case of publishing a fake video of a Chinese man quarreling with knives

On the 16th, Xie Bao, director of the Anti-Science and Technology Crime Bureau of the Cambodian National Police, told the media that the suspected case of posting a fake video of Chinese people holding knives in Phnom Penh on social networks has been solved, and the producer of the fake video was arrested by the police on the 15th.

Xie Bao said that En Heng, the 28-year-old who posted the fake edited video, lives in Tieqiaotou District, Phnom Penh. The police confiscated a mobile phone, a desktop computer, and two laptop computers at the scene. The computer file contained a false video of a Chinese man holding a knife and making trouble in Phnom Penh.

Xie Bao said that Enheng admitted to be the producer of the fake video and confessed that the purpose was to attract likes and to earn fees from social networks and Google.

En Heng confessed to the police that he found that people were concerned about the Chinese in Cambodia, so he used some Hong Kong movie clips to cut out the fake video.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen publicly stated at the opening ceremony of the local "Ocean Festival" on the evening of the 15th that the people who made the video tried to cause social unrest and misunderstood Cambodia.
