Inner Mongolia Ordos Airport opens international flights to Siem Reap, Cambodia

On January 7, a flight number MKR982 carrying 194 passengers took off from the Ordos International Airport in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and flew to Siem Reap, Cambodia, home to Angkor Wat, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This marks the official opening of Ordos' first direct international flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia.


   Ordos International Airport news stated that the route is operated by Cambodia Lanmei Airlines Co., Ltd., and Airbus A321 aircraft. The route takes the form of tourist charter flights, once a week, and can provide up to 214 seats.


The specific time of the flight is: take off from Siem Reap, Cambodia at 19:00 and arrive at Ordos International Airport at 23:45; take off from Ordos Airport at 0:45 the next day and arrive at Siem Reap, Cambodia at 5:10. The one-way air flight time is about 4.5. Hours (all the above times are local time).


    The reporter learned that in recent years, Ordos International Airport has actively integrated into China's “One Belt, One Road” construction, and the number of inbound and outbound passengers has developed rapidly. In 2018, the international passenger throughput of Ordos International Airport reached 78,000.


  Ordos International Airport officially believes that the opening of the Ordos-Siem Reap route in Cambodia will promote the economic, trade and cultural exchanges between Ordos City and international cities.
