Cambodia may become the first ASEAN country to use fifth-generation mobile communication technology (5G).
The Cambodian Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications announced on the official website on the 2nd that the Cambodian government plans to install 5G Wi-Fi in Angkor Wat in Siem Reap Province to provide high-speed Internet services for tourists. However, the installation of 5G Wi-Fi in Angkor Wat will take at least one year.
The Cambodian Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications stated that China, South Korea, Russia and other countries are currently preparing to use the fifth-generation mobile communication technology (5G) in the near future, and Cambodia will become the first ASEAN country to use the fifth-generation mobile communication technology.
