Recently, 15 teachers from institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Labor of the Kingdom of Cambodia received a half-month vocational teacher training at Zibo Vocational College. These 15 teachers are engaged in automotive, electronic and electrical, construction engineering and other majors. According to their characteristics and needs, Zibo Vocational College has arranged training on the general situation of China's vocational education, talent training programs, curriculum standards, and teaching modes.

　　 During the training, the trainees learned in detail about the current development of China's education, especially higher vocational education, as well as the education and teaching concepts, management and operation mechanisms and measures of Zibo Vocational College. The trainees also participated in the practice in the on-campus training base of related majors, visited the school-enterprise cooperation units of the college, and carried out cultural visits, and got close contact with the local ceramic culture, commercial port culture and Qi culture in Zibo.

Guo Xingbao, a teacher at the Kingdom Institute of Industry and Technology of Cambodia, said that China’s rapid economic, technological and social development is inseparable from the development of vocational education. This training has theory and practice, and he has learned a lot. After returning to China, he will learn from Zibo Vocational College. The advanced concepts, experiences and practices of Chinese vocational education are shared with colleagues and students and used in teaching practice.

　　 It is understood that in Cambodia, the Ministry of Labor is responsible for the country’s employee training and labor affairs, and there are 39 vocational colleges under it. The trainees participating in this training are key teachers selected from 10 colleges and universities, including the Kingdom of Cambodia Institute of Technology, the Cambodian National Vocational College, and the Cambodian National Vocational Training Institute. In the next step, the Cambodian Ministry of Labor will continue to organize teachers to participate in such training. Zibo Vocational College will also send teachers to Cambodia to organize teacher training projects.

　　 Zibo Vocational College established the Zibo Vocational College Cambodia Vocational Education Center in Cambodia in 2017 with the support of the Shandong Provincial People's Government and the Provincial Department of Education. According to the arrangement, the college will start accepting Cambodian students to study in 2018. The exchange of teachers and students between the two parties is an important measure of the college in responding to the call of the Ministry of Education and the Department of Education of Shandong Province to let vocational education "go out" and serve the construction of the "Belt and Road".
