The project to upgrade and renovate the Yunjang Naval Base in Cambodia has begun
Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wentian, Representative of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Diban attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the China-assisted yunjang Naval Base upgrade project in Cambodia. About 2,000 people attended the event, including Defense Attattle-general Tang Hao of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, General Zhou Pyilun, Director general of The General Bureau of Materials and Technology of the Cambodian Defense Ministry, representatives of five local provinces, diplomatic envoys from many countries in Cambodia and project construction personnel.
In his speech, Wang said that the friendship between China and Cambodia is unbreakable as it has endured. Chinese aid cloud soil naval base upgrade project is the bilateral mutual respect, equal consultation between the two countries, the domestic law of the two countries and the relevant international law and international practice, is not aimed at any third party, after the completion of the project, will significantly improve the level of Cambodia navy modernization, effectively improve the Cambodian army ability to safeguard China's sovereignty and territorial integrity. This project is an important symbol of the "hardcore" friendship between China and Cambodia and another monument of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries and militaries! The Chinese military will continue to provide assistance to the Cambodian military within its capacity and push the military cooperation between the two countries to a new level and make new progress.
