Cambodia's major cycling race kicked off on the country's first motorway, the Golden Port Expressway
Hundreds of cyclists took part in the Phnom Penh to Sihanoukook Expressway bicycle race with the theme of "Thank You for Peace" from September 3 to September 4 at the upcoming Jingang Expressway.
Competitors said it was the widest and most beautiful track they had ever ridden. The highway will help Cambodia attract foreign investment and boost the economy along the route. It is a new achievement in the country's development.
According to the introduction, the Jingang Expressway spans five provinces, starting from the third ring road in Phnom Penh City and ending in Stenghao County in Sihanoukian province, with a total length of 187 kilometers and four lanes in both directions. The expressway will officially open to the public on October 1, and will provide thousands of jobs for Cambodia.
