The Cambodian government's tax revenue has surged this year and is expected to exceed its target
The Cambodian government collected $2.693 billion in tax revenue in the first nine months of this year, up 27.50 percent from the same period last year, and the total tax revenue is expected to exceed its target this year, according to a statement released by the State Administration of Taxation on October 12.
It is reported that this year, the Cambodian government through a series of administrative reforms, tax revenue has increased substantially. Cambodia's National Tax Administration said it collected $254 million in revenue in September, up 25.98 percent from a year earlier. This year's full-year revenue target is $2.819 billion, with more than 90 percent achieved in the first nine months.
