Malaysia and Cambodia will set up a joint trade committee
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Cambodian Prime Minister Khon Manay announced on the 27th that the two countries have agreed to set up a joint trade committee this year to strengthen bilateral trade, investment and tourism cooperation.
Anwar said Malaysia has invested more than $3 billion in Cambodia. Under the new cooperation mechanism, Malaysia will further increase its investment in Cambodia and hopes to attract more investment from the Cambodian side.
Anwar said the two countries will also explore increasing flights between the two countries under the new cooperation mechanism to enhance people-to-people ties and promote tourism cooperation between the two countries.
