Cambodia's trade with ASEAN increased by 12%
Cambodia's trade volume with other ASEAN members rose to $6.82 billion in the first five months of 2024, up 12 percent from $6.09 billion in the same period last year, said a report released by Cambodia's Commerce Ministry on Sunday.
Cambodia exported $2.46 billion worth of products to other ASEAN countries from January to May this year, up 10 percent from $2.23 billion in the same period last year, the report said. Meanwhile, the country's imports from the rest of ASEAN stood at $4.36 billion, up 13% from $3.86 billion.
In the first five months of this year, Cambodia's trade with other ASEAN members accounted for 31.5 percent of its total trade volume of $21.6 billion, the report said. Cambodia's top five trading partners in ASEAN are Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.
